What an absolutely amazing night. In what has proven to be the most difficult encounter in the game for us yet, we finally prevailed. The amount of dedication put in by all members of AM for this boss has been truley amazing. Here is a quick recap for all of AM to enjoy:
After a fast BLW clear, we head into AQ40 to finish the business that Blizzard foiled us out of Friday night with server issues. In the past, putting together new boss raids after BWL has proven difficult, but not tonight! Tonight, the great people of AM decided enough was enough. The raid filled, and people were waiting on the sidelines to fill in if needed. The emps must die.
The attempts started slowly. Wipe, after wipe, after wipe, with each try getting the Twins lower on health as people learned how to be just a little bit better. Brilliant Mana Oil, Mageblood Potions, Blasted Lands buffs, Major Mana Potions, Nightfin Soup, and an assorted bank vault worth of other incedentals were used, and gone with each failed attempt. But, we continued to improve. The emps must die.
Two hours later, the flasks wear off. It is late. We are certain some people will want to go to bed. Not this night. Guild chat starts popping up over and over with:
<--- Staying up!
<--- Staying up!
Not a single person left. Go get more flasks. Go get more of what we need. The emps must die.
Wipe, wipe, wipe. Closer, closer, closer. As we start to run out of time on the second set of flasks, people start to run out of consumables. Without regard for gold, people simply said what do you need? If I have it, it is yours. The emps must die.
Finally, with time running out on the flasks, we have an attempt that gets them to 5%, but the 15 minute timer on the fight expires, and the brothers smash us to bits. People are tired. One Last Try the guild shouts. One Last Try! The emps must die.
In we go. Last try. Do or die. Victory, or mocking Twin Emps for another week. The emps must die.
Good pull, good transition, no one is dead. We hit our pace. 10%, 8%, 6%, time is counting down....12 minutes gone, 13, 14.....The emps must die.
And, with one final mighty push, we open up the floodgates of damage on the brothers. With 30 seconds to spare, the emps die. Vent explodes. People start spamming raid chat and guild chat with random strings of keyboard smashes. Simply amazing. The emps are dead.
Well done, Atrum Mortis, well done. The Twin Emps are dead, and C'thun sits behind a wall of trash. Soon, we come face to face with a god. I know we will be ready.
